Dupont Delrin is the perfect plastic for turning on a machine lathe. It’s pretty easy to turn, although it does require slow speeds. I have used this stuff to make Scottish small pipes chanters. Between the Delrin and Acetal rods, both materials are incredibly durable and easily machinable, and they have very comparable physical properties.
